Fairy Tales Performance - 23rd November 2023
Thu 23 Nov 2023Children in Reception and KS1 Classes thoroughly enjoyed the Rainbow Theatre show today.
The performers brought to life four of the best-loved stories in one show; Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks & the Three Bears, Three Billy Goats Gruff and the Three Little Pigs.
The show was packed full of songs and colourful characters.

Remembrance Day - 10th November 2023
Fri 10 Nov 2023Some of our Learning Ambassadors helped raise the flag on our playground today to remember the service and sacrifice of all those people that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.

Year 6 WW2 Workshop - 8th November 2023
Wed 08 Nov 2023Year 6 were visited by the WW2 expert Norman, who delivered a fantastic informative workshop. The workshop included role play, artefacts and stories from people that had first-hand experience of WW2. However don’t ask us about it as careless talk costs lives!

Year 3 Stone Age to Iron Age Workshop - 27th October 2023
Fri 27 Oct 2023Children in year 3 participated in a Living History 'Stone Age to Iron Age' Workshop. The children were encouraged to consider the relationship between technological advancement and lifestyle. The interactive workshop included artefacts, costumes, drama, hands-on activities and most of all lots of fun!

Year 4 trip to Wakehurst Place
Fri 20 Oct 2023Year 4 visited Wakehurst Place to help support their learning of living things in science. The chidlren learnt how to carefully dissect a flower and use a variety of magnification including microscopes to explore their structures. The children worked in small groups using a variety of fieldwork equipment to study different species of tree. They compared their findings and drew simple conclusions about the differences between trees.

Year 4 Roman History Workshop
Fri 20 Oct 2023Year 4 participated in a Living History Roman workshop. The workshop kicked off with a re-enactment of Julius Caesar’s landing on British shores, and then considered the Roman impact of Britain after AD43. The highly interactive workshop included Latin lessons, original artefacts, gladiators, marching and a Roman pantomime. The children learnt a lot and had great fun!

Year 6 PGL Residential Visit
Thu 19 Oct 2023Children in year 6 visited the PGL centre at Marchants Hill for a three day residential trip. They had a great time particpating in a range of activities including; climbing, abseiling, archery and zip lining. The children were able to develop their teamwork, communication and problem solving skills.

Official opening of our new MUGA
Wed 11 Oct 2023Some of our Year 6 pupils cut the ribbon this morning to mark the opening of our new MUGA. This allows more physical activities during the winter months when we are usually unable to use the field due to poor weather. The children are excited to begin to use it for their lessons.

Today we celebrated #HelloYellow to show young people they’re not alone with their mental health.
Tue 10 Oct 2023Today, we joined thousands of people across the country who were coming together for World Mental Health Day. We showed our support by wearing our best yellow outfit,
By wearing yellow today, and donating what we could, we showed young people that we were with them. Showed them that they matter and deserve the support they need, when they need it, no matter what.

Year 6 Junior Citizens
